This post is recording something interesting during my English learning. It is for me, while it might somehow help you a little bit.

Slang definition of Push Your Barrow

This is an INACCURATE AUSTRALIANISM!. It comes from Cockney and east-end London slang used in the street markets, in the 18th to earlier 20th centuries.
It's a slang term that was used by men selling their goods from a large barrow; usually 4-wheeled; in London, UK. The term "pushing your barrow" means that you are pushing you own ideas, or pushing your own business.
You are doing your work of "developing your personal interests of making money". Or, you are pushing forward YOUR idea, or pushing YOUR business to the front.

Noun. op shop (plural op shops) (Australia, New Zealand) A shop, usually operated by a charity, to which new or used goods are donated, for sale at a low price.

More commonly, OP means 'original poster' in discussion forums. The original poster is the person who started a discussion thread, and OP is used to refer back to that person as the responses grow.
