In conjunction with Harmony Week, the Multicultural Association of WA is organising a “Multicultural Festival” on Sunday 18th March at the Migrant Monument location at ozone reserve, Lake Vasto near the causeway, between Riverside Drive and Adelaide Terrace (the eastern side of Perth Esplanade).
This site will be the location of the new “Migrant Pavilion and Playground” which is a combined project of the Multicultural Association of WA. The Multicultural Festival is the first of what aims to be an annual event, bringing together the unique and diverse talents of many migrant groups of wa culminating in a family orientated feast of music, dance and food from all around the world.
There will be face painting, bouncy castles and entertainment for children. Organisers aim to attract several thousand people during the festival celebrations from all walks of life. The program will include official dignitaries and performers from many ethnic communities in WA and is a free event.
Cultural presentation starts at 1:00pm with International products and food stalls, children’s bouncing castles, street performers, music bands, face paintings and many more.
