well i believe everything exists for a reason and anything in excess is no good
you doubt MJ's value to this society probably because you link it to gambling and the bad thing about gambling is it comes with a risk of addiction
to me, MJ is not bad outright if you play for fun and leisure ... it is, in fact, a good game for networking and health since it requires good concentration and can sharpen people's mind
if people can make their stand firm on views about gambling and simply play it without money (or with money AND self discipline), why not? i don't mind a game or two

my 2 cents anyways
