應用英文》 洋人祝賀親友的說法（一）


美國人遇到親友的特別場合，諸如結婚、生日、畢業、升官、退休以及某種成就時，往往只是寄張賀卡或寫封簡短的信，表示心意。

雖然賀卡上，也印有祝賀的字句，老外通常親筆寫上幾個字，表示親切。

以下舉些常用的簡單實用字句。如要節省時間，少傷腦筋，也可從中挑選，派上用場。

(句中主詞的單複數和動詞的時態，都可加以改變)

(1)晉升或表揚的祝賀語：

My hearty congratulations on your promotion. No one could deserve it more.

（我真誠地祝賀你晉升，沒有人比您更應得這個頭銜。）

I am very happy to hear of your promotion. I hope it is just one of many more.

（我真高興得知您的晉升，我希望這只是許多晉升中之一。）

On this joyful occasion I offer my congratulations on your new post as the president of our company.
