[Sydney] Mid - Senior UNIX Sys Admin / Architect

·        Strong Solaris Unix skills
·        Strong Red Hat Linux skills
·        Experience in working on systems utilizing SAN and Storage Management (particularly with EMC and Veritas)
·        Familiarity with Vertias (Symantec) Storage Products (Volume Manager and Clustering)
·        Familiarity with networked Backup environments (EMC Networker and Enterprise Tape Systems)
·        Experience working with named services (NIS, DNS, LDAP Directory)
·        Ability to script in Perl and Shell
·        Ability to work on Unix email is desirable
·        Capacity Planning and Performance Analysis abilities
·        Experience in supporting environments for DBMS’s
·        Ability to architect multi tier solutions across varying technologies
·        Ability to team effectively and provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to other team members of the team
·        Ability to recognise and determine financial as well as technical constraints
·        Ability to drive technology change where appropriate
