有朋友知道澳洲的Financial Planner(个人理财策划师)这行吗?想读这个专业, 冷门吗?

想过去澳洲读个Financial planning的master, 不知道这行的前景如何? 我有朋友在澳洲读会计,竟然说没有听过Certified Financial planning association, 说这行感觉象是sales person而不是我理解的consultant, 不知是不是很冷门呢? 我想从事能多点跟人打交道而不是整天埋头对着数字的Finance工作,所以不想读Accounting什么的. 我在网站上看过介绍说这个行业以后有很大需求啊.

有朋友知道澳洲的Financial Planner(个人理财策划师)这行吗?请给点建议吧.

Thank you. Specifically, I want to know:

1. Does this profession have a good career prospect?Is it more like a sales role or a consultant role in Oz.?

2.Which school is renowned for its FP major? I checked the FPA website in Oz., which only recognize West Sydney University's FP major as the entry point to be a Certified Financial Planner. But I heard that West Sydney U. doesn't have a good reputation, so not sure whether to study there....May I know which school your wife chose?

Can we talk more about this privately? I am planning which major to take and which career to pursue in the future, it's an important decision for me to make. Your information will be very helpful for my planning and life in Oz. Thank you very much. My MSN is leojlynn@hotmail.com, I have added you.

这个的层次是啥?TAFE?master?有入学要求么?有没有网站链接。我有兴趣。。。。。。

Tafe 和Master都有,上Google search "Financial Planner Australia"就看到了

It's absolutely a good career with bright future. The knowledge could benefit yourself as well.
However, language is very very important. As a FP, you need to meet client and communicate with them to identify their financial goals, provide personal advice like Retirement/Super/Home loan/Insurance/Investment....Actually, a lot of things need to be mastered, but you may have your special area. It's not like sales. What you give is advice not a specific product, but you may have good relationshop with many financial company like AMP/Macquarie Bank etc. and choose the product for your client from these company. Commission will apply as well.....
