Mary was recovering from her heart attack and keen to go home! Right after she had the procedure done, she was asking whether she could be discharged later the same day. I was explaining to her how it should be working in her treatment process, she cut my talks short pointing at the gentleman right next to her:
"He came in later than me, but he is going home this afternoon!"
I started teasing her: "Why do you use him as a reference, Mary? Are you trying to go with him?"
"Haaahaaa, I was just wondering how come someone came in later than me, but could go home earlier!" Mary laughed.
Me: "No, Mary! I am afraid you can't use the timing for the reference either in terms of going home. For instance, I only came in at seven o'clock, but I will be going home at half past three, will you be able to go home at the same time?"
Mary: "Haaahaaa, you made your point!"
