Hope you are all doing well.
We have an increasing number of interns who are going through interviews at this stage. Based on their feedback, some common mistakes they made during the interview were totally avoidable. Lack of preparation or proper guidance was identified as the main cause. If you want to be well prepared for the job market, you can’t miss this opportunity!
The new round of the Interview Course is starting again from 21st of Feb, and it will take 3 full weekdays. If you want to register your seat, please contact us to make a booking in advance. Please note this program is tailored to design ALL types of interview answers based on your own experience. You will never worry about how to impress the employers during the interview. The program is designed to assist interns who are facing the following scenarios.
• Those who are not sure about how to prepare a professional resume for agents and potential employers.
• Those who have been sending out resumes but have no further contact from either agents or companies.
• Those who are not sure about how to prepare interviews in a proper manner.
• Those who have no idea how to answer behavioural interview questions
• Those who have been getting phone interviews but failed to secure face to face interview opportunities.
• Those who have been to interviews but failed to secure job opportunities
Interview Course Details
Course Outline
Session 1&2
Resume, Cover Letter and E-mail Writing
In this session, we will go through the principles and the theory behind how to write an outstanding resume and cover letter with you. We will also guide you through how to make effective initial contacts with recruiters via e-mails. Since your CV and your email contacts are the first communication made between you and the recruiters, a poor use of English or frequent grammatical errors could cause a negative impression to be formed around you.
After this session, you will gain a solid understanding in a professional level of written communication with recruiters. In addition, we will help you draft your own resume which makes you stand out from other job-seekers.
Session 3&4
Phone Manners
Based on the phone-call communications we have with our trainees, we found that some of the trainees lack an understanding of a good phone manner; therefore they could sound unintentionally rude at times. A good phone manner is of critical importance as it is often used as a screening process by which recruiters eliminate those job candidates who do not sound professional on the phone.
During the phone-manner training session, we will provide mock phone interviews as an example to help you understand how to sound nice and professional on the phone. Also, we will be making unexpected phone calls to you during weekdays to help you get used to communicating on the phone with potential employers at a professional level.
By the end of this training session, you should feel confident in your ability to secure a face-to-face interview over the phone.
Session 5&6
Interview techniques
This session will focus on behavioural interview questions, which are often used by employers to gain a basic understanding in how the job candidates are likely to behave in a work environment. During this session, we will go through 50 behavioural questions which cover the major areas that recruiters are often inclined to ask in an interview.
In addition to that, we will teach you how to talk, dress and behave properly during a face-to-face interview.
