Jail escapee who allegedly sliced a woman's throat may be heading for Sydney

A DANGEROUS jail escapee who allegedly tried to kidnap a child and sliced a woman's throat may be heading for Sydney, police said yesterday.
Police said there had been a confirmed sighting of Trevor Ross Ryan walking along train tracks at Dubbo and reported sightings at Narrabri and Newcastle.
The 20-year-old is accused of going on a crime spree since escaping from the minimum security Mannus Correctional Centre at Tumbarumba, 110km from Wagga Wagga, last Thursday.
The 177cm tall man of Aboriginal appearance was serving a three-year and three-month maximum sentence for stealing, breaking and entering and driving offences. Wagga Wagga Local Area Command Crime Manager, Det-Insp Rod Smith said there had been confirmed sightings.
