ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

As a result of our continued success and growth, we have an exciting new position for an energetic, motivated and highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our team of high achievers.
Duties include installing and maintaining electrical plant and equipment and performing electrical work on South East Water installations and other equipment as required. You will also perform PLC programming and maintenance to diagnose electrical and control system faults and perform repairs in an efficient and effective manner. You will also ensure all paperwork and technical reports are accurate, correct and completed in a timely manner.
You will be required to undertake ‘after hours’ work as part of a duty roster including emergency breakdowns. You must be capable of working at heights and in confined space and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
You must be a qualified electrical tradesperson with ‘E’ Class Licence or recognised equivalent with up to date knowledge and practical understanding of OHS legislation and regulations including AS3000 Australian Wiring Rules and Service & Installation Rules. You will have 3 years post apprentice industrial experience in maintenance, fault finding, industrial electrical wiring and control systems and installation of industrial process and pumping equipment in manufacturing or process industries. Experience in the water and waste water industry would be advantageous. A clean, current driving licence is essential.
In addition you will have excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills and enjoy working as part of a busy and productive team. Current confined space entry certification would be advantageous.
