As a family sponsored visa, this application falls under the Regional Skilled category.



As you might already be aware, the migration program planning level for this category has a limited number of places left for the 2013-14 program year.



The result of this is that processing times may be longer as a consequence and that once the remaining places are used, the department cannot grant further visas in the category during the current program year unless more visa places are made available.



I am unable to advise whether more visa places will become available within visa category as planning levels are determined by the Australian Government.



As planning levels apply to all applications, including those in the final stages of processing, I cannot give any indication as to the likely timeframe for finalisation of this application.
