Although we cannot provide a comprehensive recruitment service, the Skilled and Business Migration Program can help you with information and referrals in seeking employment.
The Victorian Government has launched a series of Industry and Career Insight seminars to introduce newly arrived skilled migrants to the Victorian labour market. These seminars provide information on resume writing, interview techniques and Australian workplace culture. They also provide the opportunity for new skilled migrants to meet with industry representatives. Please check our website for details regarding the next seminar: www.liveinvictoria.vic.gov.au/wo ... d-networks#skilled.
We also take this opportunity to remind you of the diverse range of lifestyle choices and employment opportunities that are on offer in regional Victoria. For further information, please see our website: www.liveinvictoria.vic.gov.au/li ... -regional-victoria. The Victorian Government funds the Global Skills for Provincial Victoria initiative to assist new skilled migrants to access employment opportunities in regional Victoria. Local coordinators can connect you with access to information about employment opportunities and can provide assistance with occupational language and work preparation training; along with post-employment support.
If you would be interested in moving to regional Victoria and would like to take advantage of these opportunities, please provide us with a copy of your CV, including your contact email address, which we will then forward to our regional co-ordinators for consideration against employment opportunities. Should an employer be interested in your skills and experience you will be contacted directly by the relevant regional partner within one month.
The second monitoring survey will be sent to you in six months, the third survey in a year, and the fourth and final survey a year after that – at the completion of your commitment to living in Victoria.
We hope that you are enjoying living in our beautiful state and we look forward to receiving your response.
Kind regards,
