感觉澳洲和加拿大比,澳洲就好像是中国的大城市如北京上海,什么都贵,但是居民收入也高一大截,同时还有很多外国人来旅游投资,自然物价房价也高了
加拿大就像是重庆成都这样 ...
Difference:
Canada is continent board with USA. Australia is an island, big but definitely a typical island. Isolated by sea from other countries & live with small population.
Islanders tend to be easilly content with their world, and view the world like frog in a well. Islanders tend to be proud of themselvels, however, on the other side, they deeply care about if they are being ignored by continent.
Clearly keep in mind of data below when you are laughing:
When you compare Aus to Shanghai or Bj, please note that Canadian population is 30M. Aus is 20M, 50% less.
Some states in USA have legal pay rate as low as $6.2. Even, Califolia has lower pay rate than Aus. But most things are not just more expensive, but twice as much as US.
Canada is part of body of G7. It is an indeed industrial country with some world famous hi-tech companies like Bombardia (spell might wrong), RIM(stronger & stronger), Nortel (dying but still live), & numerous factories eyeing on the USA market. It is very cold in winter, but nice in summer. Its rich resources including energy, water & usable land gives it a lot potential to grow in terms of polulation & industry.
Aus is a country far away from world major market, and doomed to its manufactory industry. It heavily relys on its resources, tourism, education output. The biggest problem for Aus is water. There is no big lake like great lakes & big river runing across the country as far as I am aware, which limits its potential for future growth although the government is ambitous.
