Though I've been living in Australia for quite a  few years, the love for English language and the drive of improving my language skills have never ever showed any fine sign of fading.
To tell you the truth, I don't really have any interest other than English as a language. Isn't it odd?

I'm currently keeping my eyes open widely for the structure of long complex sentences in formal writings. That's where the big gap lies of between Chinese people and Australians in terms of the way of thinking. Beyond that, I see it as so-called logic and reasoning thinking.

I could say it's kind of shame that my major was not English language when I was a uni student a few decades back. The best time of my brain was wasted on something helpless to my today's career. Now I have to catch up with some of the basic training -- building up a better vocabulary is one of these. Who is to blame? No one on the earth.

I'm delighted to know this one - make a mountain out of a molehill
a bit similar with the one I came across - make a song and dance about sth

Where are you? I've been looking for you for years - you are like a needle in a haystack; you are like a star among the hundreds of billions of stars in our Milky Way Galaxy.
Hi there, I'm here. You can be my friends if you crave English as much I do.
Cheers
Have a good day everyone.

Thanks to mite
I got a quick chance to put your phrase into practice. Well, it's worth making a song and dance about it.

'You're making a mountain out of a mole hill,' I replied with a smile.

  I try.
Is it quoted from an English native speaker?
People may interpret it differently as the context is not fully provided nor is the tone of the speaker's voice.

From my perspective, it sounds a bit hopeless and ironic.
'Life is but a life' - Life is what it is. I got what I've got. (That's it)
Life is but/merely/just/only a life. (but = merely = just = only, in this sentence) Will the replacing words make it clear?
