标题: 有没有人申请过Department of Human Services的Newstart Allowance? [打印本页] 作者: lisa_l 时间: 18-10-2012 17:18 标题: 有没有人申请过Department of Human Services的Newstart Allowance? 之前说必须持PR满2年后才可以申请福利，但是看了网站后，似乎一方是Pr,一方是公民的话也满足申请条件，但是似乎也要审核家庭的总收入。我看了半天，我家的总收入似乎是超过了人家规定的那个数字，没戏申请了。不知道有没有其他朋友申请过？
To qualify as an Australian resident, you must be living in Australia as:
•an Australian citizen or
•the holder of a permanent-resident visa or
•a New Zealand citizen who was in Australia on 26 February 2001 or for 12 months in the two years immediately before that date or who was assessed before 26 February 2004as 'protected'.
Holders of a permanent-resident visa need to meet a two-year newly arrived resident’s waiting period or to be exempt from this requirement—for example, by being a refugee or the partner of an Australian citizen.
Note: If you arrived in Australia on a New Zealand passport after 26 February 2001 and have lived here continuously for at least 10 years since 26 February 2001, you may qualify for payment of Newstart Allowance for up to six months. If you qualify for payment under this exemption, you will not need to serve the two-year newly arrived resident’s waiting period.
