新移民孩子过来读书
最近在做些调查，决定分享一下新移民孩子过来读书的事情。通常都是先去语言学校读半年，不过你可以去找一间主流学校先评估需要。不过我觉得除非是小学低年级，如果是高年级以上都应该读语言学校。下面是墨尔本所有语言学校名称和联系方法清单。

我知道有几间是经常满员的，所以一旦确定来的日子就应该致电他们，免得来的时候没有位置，要先去主流学校(Main Stream)，再去他们那里，特别是在学期中间插班。
其他州语言学校可以搜索教育局网站，关键字是”ESL”
以上的学校在google中输入可以看他们的网站。
如果需要各种教育信息和资料，比如找学校，看各个科目可以登陆各个省的教育局网站。以维省为例: http:www.education.vic.gov.au
其他州可以替换简写，qld, sa, nsw etc. 多谢分享。 我女儿8岁过来的， 没上语言学校。 小学安排有esl课程。 据学校校长说，他们每年都有这样的中国来的学生，已经有对付语言的经验。 normally under 9 is ok to go main stream at once. but I would say go to language school is the best choice for transition period unless you get confidence from the school 那个LIST不全了，因为维州人口增长实在太猛，不少语言学校已经在更远的新区小学设立了附属OUTPOST。
ESL课程根本不管用，每周只有2个小时。 this list is from education vic. I know for blackburn school, they have a campus in maroodah. these are the government school. i am sure i've covered all of them in metropolitan. MARK :tk_42 中国小孩在学校会不会被白人小孩欺负或孤立啊？一直很担心这个问题。前段时间看到有人再一个贴上说“基本上都是白人小孩一起玩，中国小孩一起玩，印度小孩一起玩。。。”如果只是华人小孩一起玩，社交面太窄了，这对孩子长大后进入社会会不会有不好的影响啊？
