有分析师认为,当前有些科技公司的名称太长,出于发展或营销需求,这些公司应该更名,如Microsoft(微软)应该更名为“The Softy”.
电子产品零售商Radio Shack周四发布了新品牌“The Shack”,一个多月前,Pizza Hut推出营销品牌“The Hut”.出于业务拓展需要,苹果早在2007年就将公司名称从Apple Computer Inc改为Apple Inc.
这不仅是一种需求,也是一种趋势.有分析师认为,很多科技公司的名称都应该简化.例如,Microsoft(微软)应更名为The Softy,Mozilla应更名为Moz.

此外,Wal-Mart(沃尔玛)应该名为The Mart,NASDAQ(纳斯达克)应该名为The DAQ,BlackBerry(黑莓)应该名为Berry,Best Buy(百思买)应该名为The Buy,

Starbucks(星巴克)应该名为Bucks.
