How does the third base feel like?
美國派
最近在美國有一部很搞笑的電影，叫 American Pie. 它主要講的就是四個高中男生希望在他們畢業舞會前失去他們童貞的故事， 可以從中學到很多美國的口語，訓練自己的聽力。這週我就幫大家整理一些我從這部電影裏面學到的句子吧!
1. How does the third base feel like?
三壘的感覺如何?
原 來在美國它們也使用"棒球術語" 來形容男女關係之間的進展 。這是本片的主要笑料之一， 一個男生問另一個男生 How does the third base feel like?，他就回答，"It feels like warm apple pie." 呵.. 有意思吧.. 要是在台灣，可能有人會說，It feels like 肉圓. 所以這部電影也許不要翻成 "美國派" 而翻成 "台灣肉圓" 會來得更有趣吧!
2. You don't have any chance to score on me.
你沒有機會跟我有任何進展。
這個也是棒球術語的一部份，score on me 意謂著得分，凡是男女朋友的關係有任何進展 (多半是身體上的進展) 就稱之為 score，比方說男生出去約會回來，他的好友可能就會好奇地問，"Did you score?"
3. Where is your date?
妳的伴到哪裏去了？
Date 除了指約會這件事之外，還可以指你約會的對象。這也是我聽電影中的對話，回來查字典才發現的。
