25 May 2011 – With the loss of the AMEP contract last year, AMES has lost 85% of its funding and will cease to provide teaching services from 30 June 2011.
NSW Adult Migrant English Service has all but ceased to be a teaching organisation after the tendering process left it with just three AMEP regions: the Illawarra, Hunter and Northern Sydney.
AMES现在做什么呢?AMES continues to deliver some contestable and commercial English-language services, with some staff used in this work. The service is now concentrating its training expertise on providing online products and services, contract management and workplace delivery.
