在论坛里获益甚多,秉持"take and give要平衡"的原则,我很认真地记录下移民路上的每一步. 不过至今没有被加精过,虽说有点小抱怨,但是"但求心安",还是把我的工作篇完成吧. 但愿能对tx有所 帮助.
5月中旬登陆布里斯班,详情请见登陆篇. 话说在我最低潮的时候,7月中旬接到个面试通知, 出于种种原因, 先进行了场电话面试. 然后由于他们出差，上周四才进行了第二场面试，周五通知给offer。很开心，这是我的第一家面试，一下就成功了，运气很好。个人对这个工作还是很满意的，虽说钱不高，可是我一个人也够花了。
第一场面试
电话面试开始前45分钟, 雇主发了个interview questions 给我，希望我能先回答，然后面试前发回。10道题，时间到了我只回答了4道。电话过来，我直接很不好意思地说自己没能完成，可否把现在已回答的发回？对方同意，并表示5分钟后再打来。
然后就是按照这10道题，一个个问。最后添了2个问题，和一点技术性的问题。原计划说30分钟，结果谈了1个小时。以下为题目，供大家参考
1. tell us a little about yourself and why you want this position.
2. briefly describe a successful project which included the ****(required knowledge) that you have been involved in. Outline your responsibilities and tell us why it was particularly successful.
3. Scenario--someone suddenly ask you to fabricate, in his words, a "simple" piece of sth. for his dept. in a tight period. What would you plan to do in this situation?
4. Scenario--about safety, so neglect.
5. give an example of that you have been asked to perform a job which required additional skills that you had little previous knowledge of, what did you do and what was the outcome?
6. we all make mistakes, but tell us of an example of a significant mistake that you have made in the workplace.
7. tell us about a difficult interpersonal incident you have experienced at work.
8. give us an example of each of the following where you have been asked to do sth by your supervisor, a certainway--which you thought should be done a different way, and discovered that your supervisor was 1> correct 2> incorrect
9. If you were to be offered this position, what, other than technical skills would you bring to the team?
10. Are there any comments you would like to make in support of your application.
基本都是常规问题，我回答的都比较细，举例子什么的。中间夹着说优缺点时，表示自己的英语不好，解释了下中国的英语教育不重视口语，没有语言环境blabla之类，对方很kind，说我的英语“don‘t worry，very good” 说他们的文化鼓励各地方的人，所以还有比我差的呢。
我的面试经验一向很少，所以9题卡住不知道怎么回答，呆了会说“I can bring different experience sharing with you, not limited in technical, at least i can teach you Chinese, right?” 对方大笑。后来别人告诉我，这个应该说自己性格很好之类，是性格题。
我自己回答的都比较详细，反正谈完，超了原来他们通知的半小时。不过后来，有朋友告诉我，说我谈的太罗嗦，应该condense，再condense，等人家让我多说再说详细点。tx们自己分析吧。这个我拿不准。
第二次面试
谈话+45分钟trade test+参观，总共折腾了近3个小时。基本问题围绕我的工作经历出的。大概题目如下
1. 你喜欢什么样的老板
2、你****时的工作具体是做什么？怎么做？
3、如果一个项目从头开始，在全新的领域，你会怎么下手？
4、如果别人讨论你的项目，告诉你该怎么怎么做，你会怎样？
5、你是perfer work in team or independently?
6、你为什么工作？
还有几个涉及技术的问题，具体做那些，怎么做，用过什么工具么……之类。
基本我都是照实说，给出理由，示例之类。
经验总结：
1、其实我觉得运气在找工中最重要。
2、如果不是特别偏爱，新登陆最好还是悉尼或墨尔本，机会会多一些。话说，我当时都打算这个offer要是没拿到，我就搬去悉尼了。还好，老天保佑！
3、英语特别再次强调一下
4、还是英语。我出来之前自认为英语还好--考过寄托，一次过雅思，工作中也会和global的同事讨论。但是，但是在我第一个月中，信心倍受打击，打客服电话会出汗，最后都有点不敢开口了。有一个我之前忽略的地方--重音和口音。发音口型要到位，重音要注意，否则不容易让人听懂。还有一点，就是说的慢一点，slowly But clearly。当然不要慢到蹦词的地步。
5、把自己工作经验好好整理整理，找出2-3个与众不同的卖点，最好是迎合对方的要求准备，就是换位想想10个人，为什么要你而不要另外可能英文更好的人。stand you out。
相信大家大多面试经验都比我强很多，所以准备好自己，等机会一来，一定都能找到满意的工作。 |
