For one day of the year, Siding Spring Observatory opens its telescopes to the public. It's your chance to take a closer look at the operations of Australia's largest optical telescope site.

There'll be talks by world famous astronomers, talks designed for children, science displays and activities, solar observing, classic cars display, Taronga Western Plains Zoo exhibition, rockets, food and refreshments. Come along and make this a great family day out.

The Siding Spring Observatory Open Day runs from 9.30am to 4pm.

Understand the meaning of stars. Our solar system is in the arm of Milky way galaxy.

4.了解银河系外有亿万星系
Out of our Galaxy, there are thousands of millions of Galaxy.

5.知道黑洞
In the middle of the Galaxy, there is a black hole which can suck everything, even light can not escape.

6.知道第一第二第三宇宙速度
Know in which speed we how can we fly around the earth, out from the earth and out from our solar system.
