悉尼附近的皇家国家公园很有特点，也是澳卅最早的国家公园之一，以后也有可能变成和蓝山国家公园一样世界文化遗产。

这里面有很多土著人的生活遗迹，也有30公里的美丽海岸线，有鹰石，还有豆腐石。

这里仅悉尼很近，其中豆腐石处大人该子都可走过去。确实是悉尼周末的另一个好去处。

Royal National Park

Australia's first national park, was proclaimed on 26 April 1879, south of Sydney in New South Wales. It is now known as the Royal National Park. It was the second such park to be declared in the world, the first being Yellowstone National Park in the United States of America.

Originally named 'The National Park', it was renamed 'Royal National Park' when Queen Elizabeth II visited it in 1955.

In the early days of the park, it was used more as a place where residents of Sydney could come to relax and amuse themselves than for the conservation and study of native wildlife. A dance hall was even built there as late as the 1940s, and earlier, land was cleared for large areas of lawns and a train line was set up between Loftus and Audley, two towns within the Park.

要说精彩程度，皇家国家公园肯定无法和黄石国家公园相比了。但是黄石国家公园地处美国西部荒凉地区，而皇家国家公园就在大城市旁边。要比方便程度，黄石，或者世界上大多数精彩之地，也同样无法和皇家相比。

是呀。我去过N次了，但是都没见到鹿。不过也是我去的次数虽然不少，但是只去了一小部分。这个国家公园虽然不算特别大，但是面积也不小了，多数地方要徒步很长时间才能进入，而且徒步路线虽然多，也不是遍及公园各处的。而鹿则完全没有必要专门往人多的地方跑。这些鹿虽然是外来的，但是已经完全野化了，并不和人亲近，而且鹿是晚上也可以活动的。所以要见到，一个是要走对地方，一个是要运气很好。

我在皇家国家公园徒步愈百次，才看到鹿两次，可以说百分之二的概率。

如天时地利人和，也许一次就可看到，这样百分之百的几率。

19 of us had great classic coast walk of 30 KM from Otford to Bundenna, for 8.5 hours, and saw 5 whales nearby Eagle Rock

This Sunday Feb 16 2014, some of us will walk at this park for 20-40 KM to see Deers, Tofu Rock, Eagle Rock and others.

两个星期之前的2月16日我们中的部分队友走了Royal NP, 走得很过瘾。

应部分队友要求，我们3月2日周日重返Royal NP,但我们要走coast walk的另一部分再加上很大机会能看鹿的Forest Island周边徒步。

周日徒步共有3个loop tracks,长度从12公里，10公里及18公里不等。走完全程约40公里，但队友也可走一个或二个loops。

具体路线

Loop 1
Garie Beach - Eagle rock - Gap - 探宝 - Wattamolla - Curra Moors - Garie Beach

Loop 2
Karani Ridge trail - Forest Path - Wallumara trail

Loop 3
Garie beach - north era - Burning palms - palm jungle - Werrong point - otford lookout - Garawarra trail - Garawarra Farm - south era - Garie beach

集合时间和地点 (TBA)
