SLAB - $300.00 (incl GST) each level
When we inspect: The slab has been poured and has had 1-2 days to dry.
What we inspect: Slab is correct size, dimensions and depth
Plumbing is in the right position
We inspect any cracks and tell you if they are significant
There is an acceptable level of workmanship
Completed work is accordance with the architectural plans and follows Australian Standards
What we need: Copy of the latest plans - A3 size preferred, specifications (and engineering drawings if double storey)
BRICKWORK - $350.00 (incl GST) each level
When we inspect: The brickwork is complete and the roof beams aren’t on yet.
What we inspect: There is an acceptable level of bricklaying workmanship
Brickwork is right height
Correct bricks have been used
Walls are where they are supposed to be
Windows and doors are in approximately the right position/right height
That tie down straps are anchored correctly, wire ties are correct
Completed work is accordance with the plans and follows Australian Standards
What we need: Copy of the latest plans – A3 size preferred, specifications (and engineering drawings if double storey)
ROOF ON - $350.00 (incl GST)
When we inspect: The roof has been installed, the beams are up and the roof covering is on (tiles/Colourbond etc) is on,
before ceiling has been installed.
What we inspect: The correct materials have been used – Colorbond/tiles
Materials have been fixed correctly as per the manufacturer’s instructions
On the inside of the roof – make sure that the roof frame is ok
Tie down straps are installed correctly and are adequate
Roof beams are installed correctly and are supported
There is an acceptable level of workmanship
Everything is accordance with the plans and follows Australian Standards
What we need: Copy of the latest plans – A3 size preferred, specifications (and engineering drawings if double storey)
LOCK UP / WATERPROOFING - $350.00 (incl GST)
When we inspect: When the property is at lock up stage after waterproofing to the shower has been painted on
but before the tiling has commenced
What we inspect: All finished workmanship – Plastering / Ceilings / Shelving / Cabinet carcasses /
Baths / Waterproofing / Rendering / Brick cleaning

There is an acceptable level of workmanship
Everything is accordance with the plans and follows Australian Standards
What we need: Copy of the latest plans – A3 size preferred, specifications (and engineering drawings if double storey)
PRE- HANDOVER (PRACTICAL COMPLETION) – Single Storey $695.00 Double Storey $795 (incl GST)
Reduced to $645 / $745 if other inspections done previously
When we inspect: When the builder thinks he has or is almost finished.
What we inspect: All finished workmanship
We check and identify Trades or components that have not been installed/ completed
or is not correctly installed
There is an acceptable level of workmanship in completed work.
Front elevation and general layout is in accordance with the plans and workmanship
follows Australian Standards.
Dimensions critical for furniture specified at the time of contract can be checked if notified to the inspector.
What we need:
Copy of the latest plans, A3 size, specifications (and engineering drawings if double storey)
To summarise as a package for a single storey house would be as follows:
Slab Down $300
Brick to Plate Height $350
Roof On $350
Practical Completion (reduced) $645
