NSW:

What happens next?

If you are aged 17 years or older, you are eligible to attempt the Driving Test if you have logged at least 120 hours * driving time (which includes 20 hours of night driving) and have held your learner licence for at least 12 months. From 19 December 2009 drivers who are aged 25 years and over and hold a current learners licence are exempt from completing the Learner Driver Log Book and any tenure requirement.

VIC:
http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/H ... onarycarlicence.htm

Learner permit holding period requirements and supervised driving experience
There are different requirements you must meet before applying for a probationary licence, depending on your age and when you obtained your learner permit:

if you are under the age of 21, you must have held your learner permit for at least twelve months in the period immediately before applying for a licence and completed a minimum of 120 hours (including at least 10 hours at night) of driving with an experienced driver. You must have recorded these hours in an official Learner Log Book signed by you and your supervising experienced driver.

if you are 21 years of age or over, or obtained your learner permit before 1 July 2007, you will not be required to complete 120 hours of supervised driving or submit an official Learner Log Book

if you are over 21 years of age but under 25 years of age, you must have held your learner permit for at least six months in the period immediately before applying for a licence.

if you are 25 years of age or over you must have held your learner permit for at least three months in the period immediately before applying for a licence.

At any age, it is important that you get as much driving experience as possible, 120 hours at least, so that you become a safer driver, before you apply for your probationary licence.

QLD:
http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Licens ... earner-licence.aspx

When can I take the practical driving test?

Before you are eligible to take a practical driving test you must have held your learner licence for at least one year within the previous three years (not including licence suspensions or cancellations) and have completed and recorded 100 hours of supervised on-road driving experience (for drivers under 25 years of age) in your learner logbook. This must include 10 hours of night driving. Your logbook must be assessed and passed by the department before you take your practical driving test. If you cannot complete and record in a logbook, 100 hours of supervised on-road driving experience, you may be eligible a learner logbook exemption.

SA:
http://mylicence.sa.gov.au/l_plater

getting my P-plates

To get your P’s you need to have held a learner’s permit for at least 12 months and completed at least 75 hours of supervised driving (including 15 at night). If you’re over the age of 25, you’ll need to hold your permit for only 6 months
