I give some personal opinions:
1. Noranda is a great suburb to live in, one of my friends lives there, and told me that this is a very quite, peaceful and nice suburb!
2. I am not sure the budget of piping gas, i need to do that as well, my house doesnt have a gas connection as well, but my neighbor has. Please make sure there is gas connect on the street, so that you can easily hook it up, otherwise, it will cost u huge $$$ to link up the gas from other street, you got to bear the whole cost if there is no existing connections on the street.
3. Prepare at least 30k dollars if you wanna restructure and add a toilet! (One of my friends got a quote of over 80k for adding a toilet and removing a stair case to make the living room and kitchen at the same level, eventually they gave up the idea of making changes).
4. NEVER EVER buy those houses near high-tension wires! The house agent normally bluffs you that the emittion is nothing, and try to ask you the feeling of harm by your mobile phone, and call western power to check with those experts, bla bla... Actually they are totally different story between mobile phone emitting and high-tension electricity wires', you can do some googling on this topic! ---> Once you have bought that kind of house, then you'll find how hard to sell it out later on! |
