Many of us may know “Six-Foot-Track of 45 KM” (see #36/#37 of Sydneyhiking Club ) of Blue Mountains and walked partly or fully track with different experience.
The another classic track with the same length parallel to 6-Foot-Track: is Kanangra Wall to Katoomba, also called K-K track, which will cost $880 if you do not want walk alone.
This track is 45 KM, and only suitable for fit expeditioner(s). You will trek through the wildest country imaginable. Crossing two national parks ((Kanangra-Boyd National Park and Blue Mountains National Park), it takes in some of the best scenery of both, including excellent views from the high plateaux of Narrow Neck and Kanangra Walls and so on.
While the walk is commonly done over three days, it can be done in two days by fit parties overnighting somewhere around the Coxs River. Many parties also do it in one day as a challenge - "K to K in a Day" is one of the well known "hard" walks in the Blue Mountains, along with the significantly tougher Three Peaks.
Could we make it in one day only, July 23 or 24, 2011?
Any comment is very welcome.
