Dharawal Nature Reserve is a Schedule 2 Special Area and are jointly managed by both the Sydney Catchment Authority and the National Park and Wildlife Services (NPWS).
O’Hares Creek is home to the healthiest koala colony in the Sydney Region. These nocturnal mammals generally survive on a diet of selected eucalypt species. Eating an average of 0.5kg of leaves per day. There is no guarantee that you will see a koala, you never know your luck. Just remember to keep looking up.
Maddens Falls – This leads you through rare ironstone woodland, sandstone woodland and upland swamp plant communities to the majestic Maddens Falls, a waterfall fed by Maddens Creek.
The Options:
• Horses riding (if available);
• Swim in the beach-side rock sea water pool or on the beach in Austinmer;
• Drive home along the beautiful Sea Cliff Bridge & Lawrence Hargrave Drive;
