还是要看这句话的前后场景,turn dog是不是“训狗的”
我把原文帖出来,帮忙看看?
原文中的对话:
Kate: I understand what you're doing and I respect your loyalty.
2Dads: With respect, ma'am, you don't understand anything about it.
Kate: You're about to screw up your career, I get that.
2Dads: What do you expect me to do, turn dog?
剧情介绍里也有这个turn dog,似乎感觉是“出卖同伴”?抑或是“翻供”?

Sea Patrol episode two: 'Crocodile Tears'
In episode two of Sea Patrol, A new Commanding Officer and the discovery of a cruel and lucrative trade in crocodile skins, results in some tense and disturbing moments for the crew of the HMAS Hammersley.
Lt. Commander Mike Flynn (Ian Stenlake) has finally been persuaded to take a promotion and a NAVCOM desk job, with Lt. Commander Steve Coburn (Steve Bastoni) taking his place on the Hammersley deck.
Coburn’s idea of a team bonding exercise – "call it Operation Relax" - is a ball game on a remote tropical beach, but the fun finishes when Two Dads (Nikolai Nikolaeff) comes across a slew of skinned crocodile carcasses.
Back at base in Cairns, reporting to Mike Flynn and Navcom boss Maxine White (Tammy Macintosh), Coburn makes some odd comments about the sex life of the crocodile, while pointing out that a croc skin is worth around $600. He is permitted to run a night time surveillance looking for poachers.
On board, as the ship heads for the remote Elcho Inlet where the croc poachers are believed to be operating, Two Dads can’t help playing a sick croc joke on Bird (Danielle Horvat), while Bomber (Kirsty Lee Allan) becomes increasingly envious of Bird’s popularity with the crew.
It is not helped when RO (Kristian Schmid) tries to placate her by telling Bomber she is “one of the boys.”
The hunt for the poachers is dramatically ended when Bomber falls into water described as “croc city”. The Hammersley’s new commander remarks, “maybe she should stick to cooking.”
Coburn’s strange manner and unorthodox comments continue after some of the crew visit ‘The Crocodillo’ a waterfront bar where patrons are encouraged to have fun by feeding live baby chicks to Schnappy, a pet croc.
The crew leaves after Two Dads tries to buy the chicks, but when he returns to the bar alone and becomes involved in a savage brawl, Coburn is suddenly by his side, both men liberating the pet croc, only to see it run over by a truck. Two Dads is in serious trouble with the Navy, but Coburn informs the fiery animal lover that as CO he was “never there”, and it would be best for the Navy if Two Dads took the full blame alone.
And while Two Dads battles to not “turn dog”, Kate and Mike spend time alone, together, on dry land.
Flynn is now shore based, Kate is at sea, so their relationship is acceptable – until Coburn is relieved of his post. |
