Dear Anson1986,
Thank you for your feedback received on 18/08/2008 which has been
referred to me for follow up and reply.
Your Class BN subclass 136 visa application was received at this office
30/07/07. Currently the processing areas are allocating Class BN
subclass 136 visa applications that were received at this office on the
12/07/07.
I have noted your concerns regarding our allocation and processing times
and that you have recently lodged many enquiries about the allocation of
your visa application to a case officer.
In our Client Service Charter the Department has committed to providing
timely service delivery and the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre makes
every effort to process all applications in a timely manner. While we
endeavour to ensure that all applications are processed in date order of
receipt, we have 9 different processing areas and from time to time
allocation of application timeframes are not aligned. Further to this,
the number of visa applications received at the Adelaide Skilled
Processing Centre over the past year has increased significantly. This
has impacted on our processing timeframes. Although your application may
not be processing within average times it is still within our current
processing timeframes.
In regards to your query regarding being unable to contact the
Department by phone, we are aware that the number of telephone calls and
online contact has dramatically increased over recent months. This has
been due to the changes in Legislation from 1 September 2007. We only
have a limited number of telephones lines into Adelaide Skilled
Processing Centre and so are limited to the number of telephone calls
that we can answer. In line with our commitment to client service we are
investigating how we can best address and manage this increase in
contact.
Whilst your application has yet to be allocated to a case officer, to
monitor where we are up to with our application timeframes please send a
blank email to aspc.processing@immi.gov.au for the information by auto
response. Please note: This data is aggregated from a number of sources
and is provided as a guide to applicants only.
We apologise for any concern our delays may be causing you but assure
you that we value the knowledge, expertise and economic benefits skilled
migrants bring to Australia and we are processing all visa applications
as quickly as possible.
Yours Sincerely,
Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre
