It is not just the language matters. The cultural background is also of vital influnce on your communication to your co-workers, as well as the locals. If you cannt overcome these, it is hard to succeed in AU. What I have seen is many immigrants are isolated from the mainstream society. After settling in the AU, You would feel even more frustrated than you do right now, if you cannt overcome the language barrier and adjust to the western culture. Should you be able to talk with your western colleagues regarding the celeb and footy, as fluently as you chat with your Chinese friends, you would totally enjoy your life here. I am sure it is achievable.
Don't be frustrated at the moment. Just go for it and be yourself. |
