Dear Mr Liu,
Thank you for your feedback received on 3 June 2009 which has been
referred to me for follow up and reply.
As previously stated, your application shows that you have nomination
skilled occupation 2231-15. I also refer to a ACS skills assessment
dated 2 May 2008 showing that your skills have been assessed as suitable
for this occupation.
For migration purposes, occupations 2231-15 (Software Designer), and
2231-79 (Computing Professional [nec]) are considered to be different.
For any application to be valid, all applicants are required to nominate
a skilled occupation at time of lodgement. There is no legislative
mechanism that allows an applicant to change their nominated occupation.
If an applicant has skills in more than one occupation on the Skills
Occupation List (SOL), they must decide at time of lodgement which one
of those occupations will be their nominated skilled occupation.
A copy of the SOL can be found at the following weblink:
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1121i.pdf
If you would like to be considered for a visa application whilst
nominating the occupation of Computing Professional [nec] (2231-79), you
would need to lodge a new application. You would be required to pay the
appropriate visa application charge and ensure that you meet the
eligibility requirements at time of lodgement.
I hope this has provided some clarification to you. If you have any
further questions regarding your application, please do not hesitate to
contact the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre on 1300 364 613
