The source files in DAW do not necessarily have the best sound quality. A recording project is not complete until finalized and mastered. There are a lot of mastering processes involved during this last step, such as re-EQ, dynamics, warmth, stereo width extension, final reverb, audio exciter, and so on. PS: The easiest way to minimise the impact of quantization noise caused by 16-bit sample depth is digital DITHER.
