Working within the Information Technical team you will be a valued member with your core duties to provide professional consultation to management and the application development team on technical issues associated with the SQL Server database.
This position will give you the opportunity to work autonomously and in an influencing role.
Key responsibilities:
• Conduct complex SQL Server database systems technical reviews to improve performance, resource utilisation and integrity
• Evaluation, testing, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server services
• Develop SQL stored procedures and backend application functionality
To be successful in this role, you will need
• 3 - 5 years SQL server 2000/ 2005 Database Administration experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage SQL 2005 and SQL 2000 servers and environment
• Experience in Oracle Database Administration running on HP UNIX platforms, Oracle 9i or 10G
• Demonstrated ability to maintain database environments and identify areas for database performance improvement
• Demonstrated ability to write and implement DTS and Integration Services packages
• Ability to write SQL queries and execution plans
• Strong SQL Server 2000 understanding
• Experience in one or more is desirable
